This Return Policy applies to all purchases of gift wrapping services, handmade gift sets, and consultation and wrapping bundles from Shalmexxquablux. We want you to be satisfied with your order and are committed to resolving issues fairly and in accordance with this policy. Please read the following terms carefully before placing an order. General Principles
Our return, refund, and exchange terms vary by product and service type because of the nature of what we offer: custom-made wrapping is created to your specifications and cannot be resold as new; handmade gift sets are physical products that can often be returned if unused; and consulting sessions are services that are consumed at the time they are provided. We will work with you in good faith to address any legitimate concerns about quality, accuracy, or damage. All return, exchange, or refund requests must be initiated by contacting us; we will confirm eligibility and provide instructions. We reserve the right to refuse returns or refunds that do not meet the conditions set out in this policy or that we reasonably believe to be fraudulent or abusive.
Custom Gift Wrapping
Because our gift wrapping is made to order based on your specifications (including paper type, color, ribbon, style, quantity, and any special instructions), we generally do not offer returns or refunds once the wrapping has been completed and delivered or picked up. The customized nature of the service means that the product cannot be resold to another customer. If you receive wrapped items that do not match the agreed design (for example, wrong paper, wrong ribbon, or a significant deviation from the theme or style you approved), or if the wrapping is damaged in a way that is attributable to us (e.g., defective materials or workmanship), please contact us within three (3) business days of receipt. Provide a clear description of the issue and, if possible, photographs. We will work with you to correct the issue, which may include re-wrapping the affected items at no additional charge, providing a partial refund for the non-conforming portion, or a full refund in exceptional circumstances, at our sole discretion depending on the nature and extent of the problem. We are not responsible for issues caused by your specifications, changes requested after work has begun, or damage occurring after delivery or pickup due to handling, storage, or environmental factors.
Handmade Gift Sets
Handmade gift sets may be returned or exchanged within fourteen (14) days of the date of delivery or pickup, provided that the items are unused, unopened where applicable, in their original packaging, and in resalable condition. To initiate a return, contact us with your order details (including order date and a brief description of the items) and the reason for the return. We will confirm whether the return is accepted and provide instructions for returning the items, including the address to which they must be sent and any packaging requirements. You are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the return is due to our error (e.g., we sent the wrong product or a defective item). Once we have received and inspected the returned set, we will process a refund to the original payment method used for the purchase or arrange an exchange as agreed. Refunds may take up to ten (10) business days to be processed by us; depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take additional time for the refund to appear on your statement. If an item is returned in a condition that we do not consider resalable (e.g., used, damaged, or without original packaging), we may refuse the return or deduct a restocking fee, and we will notify you. Gift sets that include perishable or consumable items may have different return conditions; we will inform you at the time of order or in the product description where applicable.
Consultation and Wrapping Bundle
Consultation and wrapping bundles combine a one-on-one gift consulting session with wrapping services for a set number of items. Consultation sessions are a service that is consumed at the time of the session; therefore, the consultation portion of the bundle is non-refundable once the session has taken place. If you need to reschedule a consultation, please contact us at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance. We will do our best to accommodate a new date, subject to availability. Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may result in forfeiture of the consultation without refund. The wrapping portion of the bundle is subject to the same terms as custom gift wrapping described above. If you have not yet used either the consultation or the wrapping portion and wish to cancel the entire bundle before the consultation takes place, contact us as soon as possible. We may offer a partial refund depending on the timing of the cancellation and any costs we have already incurred (e.g., materials ordered for your project). Any refund will be at our sole discretion and may be subject to an administrative or cancellation fee as communicated to you at the time of cancellation.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive items that are damaged in transit, or that are incorrect (wrong product, wrong quantity, wrong design, or a significant deviation from what was agreed), please notify us within three (3) business days of delivery or pickup. We may ask for photographs or other evidence to process your claim. For damaged or incorrect wrapping, we will arrange for re-wrapping, replacement, or a refund as appropriate. For damaged or incorrect handmade gift set items, we will arrange for a replacement or refund. We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse, improper storage, or handling after delivery, or for issues that we are not notified of within the stated three (3) business day period. For damage in transit, we may work with the carrier to investigate; your cooperation in retaining packaging and providing photos may be required.
Refund Process
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase (e.g., the same credit or debit card, or the same payment account). We cannot issue refunds to a different payment method or to a third party unless we agree otherwise in writing. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take up to ten (10) business days from the date we process the refund for the amount to appear on your statement. We will send you a confirmation (e.g., by email) when the refund has been processed. If you do not see the refund within that time, please contact us and we will assist you in following up, including providing any reference or transaction information that may help you query the refund with your bank or card issuer. Refunds will be in the same currency as the original payment. We do not compensate for any fluctuation in exchange rates or for fees that your bank or card issuer may charge in connection with the refund.
Exchanges
Exchanges for handmade gift sets may be available subject to stock availability and the condition of the returned item. Contact us to request an exchange and we will confirm whether the item you want is available. If the item you want is of higher value than the returned item, you may need to pay the difference; if it is of lower value, we may issue a credit or partial refund for the difference. Exchanges for custom gift wrapping are generally not available once the order has been completed, because each order is made to your specifications. We may be able to offer a re-wrap or adjustment as described in the Custom Gift Wrapping section above if the work does not conform to what was agreed. We do not guarantee that an exchange option will be available for any particular product; eligibility will be determined on a case-by-case basis in accordance with this policy.
Non-Returnable and Non-Refundable Items
Custom or personalized gift wrapping that has been completed and collected or delivered cannot be returned for a refund unless it does not conform to the agreed design or is damaged due to our error, as described above. Consultation sessions that have already taken place are non-refundable. Perishable items (e.g., food or flowers) or opened consumable items within gift sets may not be returned for hygiene and safety reasons. Items that have been used, altered, or damaged by the customer are not eligible for return or refund. We may also designate certain promotional or clearance items as final sale and non-returnable at the time of purchase; such designation will be clearly communicated.
Order Cancellation
If you wish to cancel an order before it has been fulfilled, contact us as soon as possible. If we have not yet begun work on your order (e.g., we have not ordered materials or started wrapping), we may be able to cancel and issue a full refund. If work has already begun, we may offer a partial refund depending on the stage of completion and any non-recoverable costs we have incurred. Cancellation requests for consultation and wrapping bundles are subject to the terms described in the Consultation and Wrapping Bundle section above. We will confirm in writing whether the cancellation is accepted and the amount of any refund, if applicable.
Disputes and Complaints
We are committed to resolving disputes fairly. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of a return, refund, or exchange request, you may contact us again to request a review. Please provide your order reference, a summary of the issue, and any previous correspondence. We will review the matter and respond within a reasonable time. Our decision in good faith after such review will be final. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under applicable consumer protection laws; where the law provides you with greater rights (e.g., a longer return period or a mandatory refund in certain circumstances), those rights will apply.
